For example, if you are only just starting out teaching your child the time then you may wish to draw more basic times such as on the hour, half past the hour and so on. As your child becomes more confident with these, then try using the quarter past and quarter to times as well! Laminate the sheets to help them to last longer.
Make learning the time on the clock faces more fun by referencing the times of the day that your child will be familiar with. From breakfast time, lunch time, snack time and dinner time to nap time, bath time and bed time, there is always part of the daily routine that your child can attach the concept of time to and learn from.
Get creative and try playing games around learning the hands on the clock. For example, say at this time we are going to the shops or the library, or at this time you were born. Mention the time their favourite cartoon show is on, the start time of school or their after school clubs as further examples to relate the concept of time to. I hope that you find these worksheets useful! Drop me an email to let me know how you get on with them!
